Intimidation and Fraud, Weapons of Sectarian Environmentalism
As we have seen in previous chapters, some “environmentalists” do not even bother to conceal the fact that they use fear, scaremongering, catastrophism, and media terrorism to drive people toward their goals. From the Communist perspective, “truth” is everything that favors the Communist cause. Thus, for these “environmentalists” the fact that science says that global warming is a hoax is not a problem. Since what matters is not science and the truth but to impose a radical, ecological egalitarianism and a neo-tribal pagan society.
We have seen what environmentalist alarmists intend to do. Let us now point now what they have actually done and are still doing. When evaluating what follows, let the reader keep in mind statements like these, already quoted above:
“History teaches us that humanity only evolves significantly when it truly feels afraid. In this way we will be able to lay the foundations of a true world government faster than if driven by mere economic reasons.” —Jacques Attali, former French Socialist presidential adviser.
“No matter if the science is all phoney, there are collateral environmental benefits…. climate change provides the greatest chance to bring about justice and equality in the world.” – Christine S. Stewart, former Environment Minister of Canada.
1. ‘Climategate’ Unveils a Great Deception to Spread Fear of Global Warming
In November 2009, on the eve of the Copenhagen summit, the international press reported, not without notable discomfort, that hackers had penetrated the system of the Climatic Research Unit of the University of East Anglia in England, the world’s leading climatology center. The hackers sought to find out the sources and temperature data employed to come to the conclusion that there is a “global warming” catastrophic in store for the earth – data which the CRU inexplicably concealed. They copied and published over a thousand emails exchanged between scientists connected to that university, some of them highly telltale and damaging.
The messages revealed that scientists distorted graphs to prove that the planet has never been as hot now as in the last 1,000 years. The exchange of emails also showed that climatologists who advocate the thesis of global warming boycotted colleagues who differed from their opinions and refused to accept data from their research. The emails also showed that the group of alarmists deliberately tried to prevent skeptics, as dissenting scientists are called, from publishing their work in prestigious scientific journals.
The discovery shook the global warming movement, and people quickly started calling it Climategate, a reference to the episode known as Watergate during the Nixon Administration, which led to the president’s dismissal.
English climatologist Phil Jones, director of the Center for Climatic Research of East Anglia University, a “high priest” of the dogma of climate change responsible for the more incriminating emails, dramatically recognized that much of what IPCC publishes is nothing but bad science. After it became public that he had manipulated data, in an interview he admitted that the world experienced a global warming during two periods (1860-1880 and 1910-1940), but that no one can blame human activity for it. He also recognized that the world has not experienced any warming since 1995.
2. False Predictions on the Melting of Himalaya’s Glaciers
The IPCC’s reputation suffered a major blow in early 2010 when a serious error was discovered in the research that underpinned its latest report, released in 2007. The text stated that the Himalayan glaciers could disappear by 2035 due to global warming. This melting would have devastating consequences for billions of people in Asia who depend on water produced by ice thawing in the mountains. IPCC scientists recognized that the prediction lacked the slightest scientific foundation and was drawn up based on speculation. Most incredible is that, for three years since the publication of the document, that “speculation” was treated as unquestionable truth.
It didn’t take long for the fraud to be blamed on the personal interests of IPCC chairman, Indian climatologist Rajendra Pachauri, whose resignation had been vehemently requested by many scientists. Pachauri is director of New Delhi’s Teri Research Institute, to which the Carnegie Foundation granted a half a million dollars fund. For what purpose? To conduct research. Where? On the Himalayan glaciers…
When a study commissioned by India’s Ministry of the Environment denounced the Himalayas melting hoax Pachauri dismissed it as “voodoo science.” IPCC reports are prepared by 3,000 scientists from around the world and contain valuable information to study weather phenomena, but it would be completely misguided to consider it infallible, and even worse, to turn its findings into dogma.
