6. Environmentalism: Worldwide Propaganda for a Neo-Communist Sect

Lord Lawson of Blaby“The Left have been slightly disoriented by the manifest failure of socialism and indeed even more so of Communism, as it was tried out – and therefore they still remain as anti-Capitalist as they were, but they had to find a new guise for their anti-Capitalism” – Lord Lawson of Blaby, former Chancellor of the Exchequer and former energy secretary of Britain.

“The other reason that environmental extremism emerged, was because world Communism failed, the Wall came down, and a lot of peaceniks and political activists moved into the environmental movement, bringing their neo-Marxism with them, and learned to use green language in a very clever way to cloak agendas that actually have more to do with anti-Capitalism, and anti-globalization, than they do anything with ecology or science” – Patrick Moore, co-founder of Greenpeace.

“But carbon dioxide clearly is an industrial gas and tied in with economic growth, with Frederick Singertransportation and cars, with what we call civilization. And there are forces in the environmental movement that are against economic growth. They think that’s bad.” – Prof. Frederick Singer, former director of the U.S. meteorological satellite service and IPCC reviser.

Global warming “could be used to legitimize a whole suite of myths that already existed, anti-car, anti-growth, anti-development and above all anti-U.S., the great Satan ” – Prof. Philip Stott, Biogeography Department of London University.

Dr. Pal Brekke“Anyone who claims that the debate is over and the conclusions are firm has a fundamentally unscientific approach to one of the most momentous issues of our time” – Solar physicist Dr. Pal Brekke, senior advisor to the Norwegian Space Centre in Oslo.

“I am a skeptic…global warming has become a new religion” – Nobel Prize Winner for Physics, Ivar Giaever.

Roger Pielke Jr“…On the issues of extreme events and climate change, IPCC science has a status similar to interpretations of Nostradamus and the Mayan calendars” – Roger Pielke Jr., Professor of environmental studies at the Center for Science and Technology Policy Research at the University of Colorado at Boulder on the extreme weather events of 2010.

Ian Plimer“Anthropogenic global warming theory is the biggest, most dangerous and ruinously expensive con job in history…. It’s the new religion for urban populations which have lost their faith in Christianity. The IPCC report is their Bible. Al Gore and Lord Stern are their prophets”— Ian Plimer, Professor of Mining Geology, Adelaide University.

“The ‘global warming scare’ is being used as a political tool to increase government control over American lives, incomes and decision making. It has no place in the Society’s activities” – Harrison “Jack” Schmitt, a former astronaut and NASA geologist.

Making the fight against CO2 emissions a priority and invoking climate catastrophes without compelling scientific foundation is to forget the more global context. One of the most serious consequences of this reductionism is the promotion of highly centralized and perverse solutions”— Prof. José Joaquim Delgado Domingos of Lisbon’s Instituto Superior Técnico.

“Dealing with this subject in such an apocalyptic fashion is a dangerous trend. Only bad forecasts are made on the basis of climate change. We need to bring in other viewpoints. For example, the disappearance of the polar ice cap will generate an incredible fuel economy because it will shorten navigation paths. We need to bring some rationality into this issue, especially when you’re dealing with an unverifiable hypothesis. It is curious to see how scientists, the lords of reason and atheists, are now adopting a completely religious language. They speak of the whole theology of the end times, catastrophes, and of man victimized and punished by the flood like Noah” – Dr. Evaristo Eduardo de Miranda, director general of the Brazil’s Embrapa National Center for Satellite Monitoring.[1]

Walter Cunningham“NASA should be at the forefront in the collection of scientific evidence and debunking the current hysteria over human-caused, or Anthropogenic Global Warming (AGW). Unfortunately, it is becoming just another agency caught up in the politics of global warming, or worse, politicized science” – Walter Cunningham, Physicist and former Apollo 7 astronaut.

“There will be no catastrophe. And if we are indeed experiencing a climate change on a global scale, we will find solutions to face this situation. To speak about catastrophe is unscientific, inhuman; it is a primitive form of presenting issues” – Dr. João Corte-Real, meteorology professor at the University of Évora, Portugal.

Vaclav Klaus“As someone who lived under communism for most of his life, I feel obliged to say that I see the biggest threat to freedom, democracy, the market economy and prosperity now in ambitious environmentalism, not in communism. This ideology wants to replace the free and spontaneous evolution of mankind by a sort of central (now global) planning” – Dr. Vaclav Klaus, former president of the Czech Republic.

7. Media Manipulation

“Since the early 1990s, the columns of many leading newspapers and magazines, worldwide have carried an increasing stream of alarmist letters and articles on hypothetical, human-caused climate change. Each such alarmist article is larded with words such as “if”, “might”, “could”, “probably”, “perhaps”, “expected”, “projected” or “modeled” – and many involve such deep dreaming, or ignorance of scientific facts and principles, that they are akin to nonsense. The problem here is not that of climate change per se, but rather that of the sophisticated scientific brainwashing that has been inflicted on the public, bureaucrats and politicians alike” – Prof. Robert M. Carter, geologist of James Cook University, Queensland, Australia.

The most elementary principles of journalism seem to have been abandoned on this subject…. You have a whole new generation of reporters, environmental journalists, and if you’re an environmental journalist and if the global warming story goes in the trash can, so does your job. It really is that crude. And the reporting has to get more and more hysterical because there are, fortunately, still a few hardened news editors around who will say, ‘You know, this is what you were saying 5 years ago.’ ‘Ah, but now it’s much much worse, you know. There’s going to be 10 feet of sea level rise by next Tuesday.’ or something. They have to keep on getting shriller and shriller and shriller” – Nigel Calder, former director of the New Scientist, a renowned scientific journal.

“There is an overwhelming bias today in the media regarding the issue of global warming. In the past two years, this bias has bloomed into an irrational hysteria. Every natural disaster that occurs is now linked with global warming, no matter how tenuous or impossible David Demingthis connection. As a result, the public has become vastly misinformed on this and other environmental issues” – Prof. David Deming, geophysicist and assistant professor of Arts and Sciences at the University of Oklahoma. Because of this and other statements, he was punished by university authorities committed to scaremongering.

“The sky is not falling; the Earth has been cooling for ten years, without help. The present cooling was NOT predicted by the alarmists’ computer models, and has come as an embarrassment to them. The finest meteorologists in the world cannot predict the weather two weeks in advance, let alone the climate for the rest of the century. Can Al Gore? Can John Holdren? We are flooded with claims that the evidence is clear, that the debate is closed, that we must act immediately, etc., but in fact THERE IS NO SUCH EVIDENCE; IT DOESN’T EXIST” – R. Austin and W. Happer, professors of physics at Princeton; L. Gould, Professor University of Hartford; R. Lindzen of MIT, and others.
